Addison’s senior session was the perfect mix of all my favorite Charleston things: downtown charm, flowers in bloom and the beach at sunset!!! We squeezed three locations into her shoot: downtown Charleston, Hampton Park and the beach, which gave her gallery so much variety from start to finish. These are always some of my favorite kinds of sessions because we get to capture all three of Charleston’s best vibes in one evening.

We started downtown, then made our way to Hampton Park where the florals and open fields gave us such a pretty change of scenery. Addison’s outfits were great throughout the whole session, but I especially loved her more casual outfit at the park! It gave us the perfect opportunity to incorporate some relaxed seated poses in the field, which added such a sweet, natural variety to her gallery. I always love when an outfit helps a location feel a little different and gives us room to create images that feel more laid-back and true to each client’s personality!

Then we ended the evening at the beach, and I LOVED this final set of images so much!!! The light was beautiful, the beach felt dreamy and we even used pretzels to get seagulls to fly into the background of the photos (!!!) It was such a fun little trick and added the cutest coastal detail to her final images. Sometimes the most unexpected, creative ideas end up making a set of photos feel extra special, and this was definitely one of those moments!!

Addison’s session had such a beautiful balance: the classic downtown portraits, the soft floral park images and the glowy beach photos at sunset. I love when a senior gallery feels like a full Charleston experience, and hers absolutely did. From Rainbow Row streets to open fields to ocean breeze, this session had a little bit of everything in the best way!
