Bailey’s senior session felt like such a perfect little Charleston dream!!! She and her mom traveled in from Statesboro, Georgia after finding me on TikTok, and I loved how specific her vision was from the very beginning. On her questionnaire, she said she loved Rainbow Row, the coast and beach look, and the pink Charleston buildings…so we basically built the entire session around ALL of that goodness!

We started downtown and focused on the colorful, classic Charleston backdrops she loved most. Her lime green dress was such a fun pop against the soft pastel walls, and I looooved the bright pink romper against The Mills House. Bailey had such a great mix of outfits: bold color, softer coastal looks and feminine details that made every location feel a little different. The blue top with white pants in front of the church steeple was one of those simple Charleston moments that just works every single time.

Then we headed toward the coast, and this is where the session really started to feel like her questionnaire came to life. Bailey wanted that beachy, coastal feel without making the entire gallery just “photos on the sand,” so we used the boardwalk, dunes, greenery and softer sunset sky before ending at the water. Her pink dress was SO pretty for this part of the session, especially with the pastel sky and ocean behind her (!!!)

I loved how this gallery moved from bright downtown color into a softer coastal ending. As a Charleston senior photographer, that is one of my favorite things about shooting here: you can get pastel buildings, iconic streets, palm trees, beach grass and the ocean all in one session without everything feeling the same.
