There is just something about a sunrise senior session in Charleston that feels extra magical…especially when The Pink Figgy is involved!!! Charli, her mom and her best friend flew all the way from Michigan for this shoot, which made the entire morning feel even more special. I will never get over families traveling such a long way to trust me with their senior portraits!

We started at The Mills House with The Pink Figgy, and I looooved Charli’s yellow dress against all of the soft pink around us. Such a happy color combination!!! Her best friend jumped in for a few photos too, which was so sweet and made this part of the session feel extra fun and personal.

From there, we explored some of my favorite nearby downtown streets around Chalmers and Broad Street. Charli’s light blue outfit was PERFECT for these classic Charleston backdrops, and I loved getting to use the white walls, black doors, historic architecture and church steeple in the background. Her adorable glasses and beautiful curly hair made every look feel so uniquely HER!!!

One of my favorite things about this gallery is how much variety we created in such a small area. We went from playful and colorful with The Pink Figgy, to clean and classic downtown portraits, to some of those quintessential Charleston streets that feel a little more timeless. Then we finished the morning over on Rainbow Row for one last dose of pastel Charleston goodness!!!

As a Charleston senior photographer, I love when seniors travel here with a vision of what they want Charleston to feel like in their photos…and Charli’s session was such a fun mix of colorful, classic and personal. The early wake-up was absolutely worth it!!!
