SO, WHAT IS IT?
This one day workshop will teach attendees everything that I have done to build a successful senior photography business. It is the all-in-one event that truly takes attendees behind the curtain in every area of my business. We will cover a wide range of topics including business, marketing, social media, marketing to Gen Z, shooting, camera settings, posing, lighting, client experience, organization, pricing workflow, branding and more. Each workshop seat includes the full-day workshop, a beautiful portfolio-building styled shoot with industry-leading vendors, new head shots from Hope, 2 meals at the event and an intimate enviornment with ample time for custom-tailored Q&A. There are only 16 seats available at this workshop.

So I'm bringing it back!
The last time I planned an in-person workshop was in 2020. The event was sold out, the vendors were booked, the countdown was ON...then it got cancelled at the last second because of the big C. Since then, in-person education has stopped being popular...but I won't allow it! I started educating other photographers BECAUSE of these workshops and how much I loved spending time with photographers in person...and it brings me so much joy to be hosting one again!
I used to host 3-4 sold out workshops every single year. This will be my first in-person education since 2019...and there are only 16 seats available to ensure an intimate event to learn!

To kick off the entire workshop experience, we will have a meet & greet event the evening before the workshop begins! Picture an hour of mingling, champagne and getting to know the group of photographers that you will spend the workshop day with!

Time to take a deep dive! The first portion of the day is dedicated to the BUSINESS side: we will be talking all things marketing, branding, website, pricing, social media and more.

Time to switch into shooting mode! This portion of the day will cover client experience, shooting, lighting, composition, camera gear, camera settings and more. It will be a very hands-on portion of the day with tons of time to ask questions and master your cameras.

The BEST part of the day! We will have 3 full hours to work with our models at a portfolio building styled shoot. The shoot will have multiple stations to allow for low photographer-to-model ratios. You will have time to practice everything you've learned while getting real-time feedback from me!

Time to kick off the workshop! Join us for a light breakfast at The River House. This event is intentionally designed with pockets of downtime to network, mingle, ask questions and utilize resources at the event!

Just when you thought the fun was over...time to head back inside! We will off-load all of our images from the shoot and show a real-time tutorial of how I would edit the images we just took together. You're welcome to break out your laptop and edit alongside me!

When is the workshop?
The workshop is all day on Tuesday, September 23rd, 2025 with an optional meet and greet on the evening of Monday, September 22nd.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where is the workshop?
The workshop is taking place at The River House at Lowndes Grove in Charleston, SC. This is an iconic PPHG property in Charleston - one of the most coveted wedding venues in the city!
Is travel to Charleston included?
It is not. Travel to Charleston, SC and all accommodations are to be booked separately. If you are flying in from out of state, first of all, I am so honored! We have had attendees travel in for workshops from as far as California and Canada! If you are flying, the best airport to travel to is Charleston International Airport (CHS). It is less than 20 minutes from the workshop venue and about 15 minutes from downtown Charleston!
Where should I stay?
There is an endless list of hotels in the Charleston area, but I recommend staying local to downtown to get the most out of your trip (especially if it's your first time!) Some of my favorite boutique hotels include the Dewberry, Emeline and Hotel Bennett (there's a pink champagne bar in the lobby!)
What if I buy a ticket then am not able to come?
While tickets are non-refundable after purchase, you are more than welcome to sell your seat to another photographer to fill your place. I am happy to help try to fill your spot if an emergency comes up!
Are you hosting any more in-person workshops?
To be honest? I am not sure! Right now, this is the ONLY workshop we have planned. If you have been dying to attend an in-person workshop, this is your chance to make it happen!
