WHEW! These last few weeks have been crazy and stressful but I am SOOOOO excited about this blog post! With college starting, busy season at it’s peak and opening my studio…it has been HECTIC! But, I wouldn’t want it any other way and I am crazy pumped to finally share it with you guys!

I have put SO much into this studio and have been dreaming about this day for YEARS!!! All of my life, I have been planning exactly what I wanted everything to look like, and I still can’t believe that it’s REAL!! Before I go into all of the details of the studio, I have to say a HUGE thank you to my mom + dad,  my best friends Erika, Josh, Stephany + Brandon for all of the time and help that they have donated in order to make this happen. Without them, I would NOT have been able to put this together!! I am so thankful for everything that they do, both for my business and for my life in general. I love you guys times a billion!!

Now, ITS TIME!!!! Try to read all about the studio before scrolling down for the pictures 😉 It will help you understand what everything is!! I chose to use a space within the Princess Anne Building in gorgeous, historic downtown Fredericksburg. It is such an AMAZING location with an adorable coffee shop right next door, stunning locations at every turn and the most amazing people to work with in the building!! The front portion of my studio is going to be my office/consultation space where I will be able to come to work all day and host meetings with my brides and potential clients!! It’s also the perfect space for workshops and mentoring-AHHHH! That makes me SO excited just thinking about it 🙂

The back half of my studio is what I’m MOST excited for and it is such an AWESOME addition for all of my seniors!!! The entire back portion has been transformed into a Senior Styling Studio + Beauty Bar! With amazing boutiques like Peacaloo, The Boutique at Caroline Street and Red, White + Bangled sponsoring the studio, my seniors will be able to visit the Senior Styling Studio before their sessions and choose from TONS of amazing clothes, jewelry, accessories and makeup to create UNFORGETTABLE looks for their sessions! This experience is INCLUDED in the senior session package, and each senior will have the option of purchasing any of the pieces for an HTP Senior discount at the end of their session!  Instead of having your outfits chosen for you or stressing about finding the perfect pieces at the mall, you’ll be able to “shop” right before your session with personal styling advice from me!! No other photographer in the area offers this “shopping” experience! So, each senior can put together 2-3 outfits of their own before their session, and then choose an additional 1-2 outfits to wear from the Styling Studio! In addition, if my clients choose not to have their makeup done professionally, the Beauty Bar will have tons of lip colors, blush, false lashes and other beauty necessities for my seniors to use before their sessions as well!! I am SO pumped to be able to offer this for all of my senior girls and cannot WAIT to start putting it to use!!
