Oh goodness…it has been a CRAZY few months!! October and November are a photographer’s dream and biggest nightmare at the same time! We LOOOOOVE shooting so much during this gorgeous time of year, but we are SO. BUSY. If you have a friend or family member that is a photographer…go give them a hug today, because they need it!! With busy season coming to an end, I’m having more and more time to sit down and blog which makes me super excited!! I have so many stunning engagement and senior sessions to share with you over the next few weeks!
This month I have been shooting seniors and engagements almost everyday, going to class Monday-Thursday, planning a senior spokesmodel program, editing every night (with the occasionally 10 page essay thrown in the mix), putting together a little something-something for this March (stay tuned for that 😉 ), decorating a studio (there’s still so much to be done!), having wedding consultations at least once a week, somehow answering all my emails within 12 hours and having some type of social life! WHEW! But I love it so much! When people ask me how I do it, I tell them that I work so much better under pressure and stress! If I only had one thing to do…it would never get done! But, give me a to-do list a mile long and I’m like a machine!!
This week, I had the absolute honor of choosing this year’s 2015-2016 senior spokesmodels!! I received over 100 applications from all over Virginia (and even some out of state!!) from absolutely amazing, beautiful and driven high school seniors! Choosing the 10 spokesmodels was SOOOO difficult, but I am beyond excited for the team that we have!!
I knew from the beginning that I wanted to do something very special to congratulate the chosen spokesmodels this week. I put together tons of ideas and worked with amazing businesses like The Popcorn Bag, Devin Ashton Designs and Twila & Co. to create the perfect spokesmodel gift boxes! Initially, I was planning on just mailing these boxes out to all of the chosen spokesmodels. However, I wanted to do something much more personal and make it a huge surprise. So, my best friend Stephany and I headed out on a rainy, Thursday afternoon and drove over 150 miles all over Fredericksburg, Spotsylvania and Stafford counties to hand-deliver these boxes and the good news!! The reactions from all of the girls were PRICELESS and it was SUCH a fun experience!! I would do it all again in a heartbeat 🙂
Make sure to keep an eye on the blog this week where I will officially announce and introduce each senior spokesmodel! I cannot wait to see what the future of this spokesmodel program will hold-woooohoooo!!
