I always get SO excited for this first wedding of the season each year…but I was ESPECIALLY excited for Katie and Ryan’s!!! Katie is a wedding planning herself (Social Graces Events!) and she has also become such a sweet friend of mine. From their beautiful engagement session to having them model for a workshop to all of our back and forth emails about her blooming business…I just adore her AND Ryan! They are both equally as sweet, joyful and excited about their photos. Working with them has been so much fun!

When Drew and I arrived on the wedding day to a house of 12 bridesmaids overflowing with bubbly excitement, I was in heaven. With a bridal party of 24 (!!!), I knew the day was going to be a BLAST and I loved all of Katie’s bridesmaids from the start! The entire day was executed beautifully, from her organization to the details to the reception space… my jaw was dropped open almost the entire time I was photographing!! She was such a relaxed and bubbly bride because she put SO much preparation into the big day…she got to relax and ENJOY it! The makeup artist said she had never seen such a relaxed and happy bride…it was so true! Katie also happens to be a recent Wheel of Fortune winner…so she’s just all around a big deal. Her and Ryan could not be more perfect for each other!!

Katie and Ryan; thank you so much for kicking off my weddings season with such an amazing start! You two are such gems and I am so lucky to know you. Your wedding day is what dreams are made of and I hope you love my favorites!!! Enjoy your mini moon in Charleston!! XOXO!

Each bouquet was hand-lettered by Katie with the bridesmaids favorite verse or quote…she really was the most thoughtful bride!!

Katie had a small gift waiting on each guest’s plate…she had them all open them at once. They were individual, personalized, hand-lettered notes to each of her guests!!! Everyone in the room was in shock!
