You may remember Christina and Chris from their beautiful DC engagement session last year! They are such a sweet couple and I have loved working with them over the last year. When we saw that their wedding day forecast was 100% chance of rain (after a full 7 DAYS of storms), my second photographer and I knew we were going to need to be prepared. We packed up our car with over 10 umbrellas, rain boots, camera covers and rain jackets and got on the road to Richmond! When we arrived it was definitely raining…like REALLY raining. After getting ready portraits we headed over to Tuckahoe Plantation…STILL RAINING.

But, we were determined to get beautiful portraits and a gorgeous outdoor ceremony anyway. After about an hour, the rain started to clear up…and the SUN even came out!!! The rain never returned! We were blown away with how the weather turned out and were so thankful for a break in the rain! Catie and I talked all day about how sweet Chris and Christina’s family was, how amazing her bridal party was to work with and how much FUN we had on their big day. Even with the morning full of rain!
