My LAST wedding of 2018…how in the world did this happen!? I met Stephanie when she attended another bride’s wedding I photographed last year. She was ADORABLE and I couldn’t have been more excited when she reached out to me to photograph her wedding day! We had the BEST time at her engagement session in Washington D.C. (besides almost getting arrested in the library of Congress…minor detail). The entire time, I knew her friend group because I photographed TWO of her closest friend’s weddings and I didn’t have a doubt in my mind it was going to be an INCREDIBLE day!

We arrived on a misty morning in Maryland and walked into a bridal suite filled with contagious joy. Stephanie and Jason chose to not have a bridal party…but they still spent the morning getting ready with some of the most special people in their life. No one was phased by the gloomy weather, and Stephanie could not WAIT to see Jason and call him her husband! Jason’s daughter, Payson, also got ready with the girls and some of the sweet moments between Stephanie and Payson are my favorite from the entire day!

I think I cried more throughout this wedding day than any other I’ve photographed. From a tear-jerking first look with both Stephanie’s dad AND the groom, the most thoughtful vows, the sweetest special dances…my mascara was running down my face by the time of the reception!

Stephanie and Jason, thank you so much for allowing me the privilege of photographing your wedding day. You ended my 2018 season with the BEST day I could have asked for. I just love you both!!!
