This was my SECOND wedding in SIX days after almost 9 months of not shooting a wedding…craziness!! And it felt SO good!!! Kat and Carter got married in Virginia Beach on Saturday, in the midst of a pandemic, and it was the most wonderful day. There were so many sweet and sentimental details throughout the entire wedding that made is SO unique and full of joy. The fact that all of their friends and family rallied around them to celebrate them, despite anything that could have held them back, just made me teary-eyed to see. I just loved every single minute!!!

This wedding was one that took a lot of detailed timeline planning because there were a lot of moving pieces. Kat got ready at a gorgeous beach rental while Carter got ready about 20 minutes away. We did the first look on the beach near Carter’s grandma’s house, the ceremony was at a beautiful church, portraits were at another gorgeous location on the water before the reception at Lesner Inn. Whew! But, I absolutely LOVE the variety that it created in their gallery!!! They have so many beautiful images from so many different spots in VA Beach and I think it’s amazing! I have so many favorites I can’t wait for you to see – I think a highlight for me is the sunset portraits overlooking the water!

Kat and Carter: Thank you so, so much for entrusting me with capturing these precious memories for you. You were both absolute ROCKSTARS dealing with any obstacle that COVID-19 threw your way, and this day came together in the most spectacular way. I can’t wait for you to see my favorites!
