This is an exciting blog post for two reasons: 1. It’s my LAST wedding of 2020 but 2. It’s my FIRST ever wedding in Charleston!!! I’ve lived in Charleston for a little over a year now, but I’ve been traveling back to Virginia (and all over the East Coast!) to photograph my weddings. This was the first time I’ve EVER shot a Charleston wedding…and was able to sleep in my bed the same night without having to travel home! Haha!!! And, it was the PERFECT wedding to capture here in CHS!
Drew and Shalynn opted to have a very non traditional, intimate wedding day at The Gadsden House in downtown Charleston. They had about 25 guests, no bridal party and had a photographer’s DREAM timeline. They did a first look early in the day so we had HOURS of portrait time to walk around downtown, and then they had an intimate, candlelit ceremony and reception with the people they love the most in this world. It was PERFECT! We even had some rain roll it around the time the ceremony was supposed to begin, but with the help of the amazing planner team at Ooh Events!, they were able to split the cocktail hour in half (some before and some after) and everything went off without a hitch! I have SO many favorites in this post!
Drew and Shalynn: Thank you so much for entrusting me to capture your big day! I hope you love these favorites of mine as much as I do!
