My first wedding to kick off the spring season of 2021 was SUCH a special one. Amelia and Trevor are the type of couple that radiate joy everywhere they go. You can just SEE how much they love each other in every way they interact…and it’s so special. I photographed their engagement session in Charleston late last year, and have been counting down the days until their wedding ever since! They tied the knot at The Farm at Ridgeway in Columbia, SC, about two hours from Charleston, and it was the most GORGEOUS day. The weather was perfect, the decor was gorgeous and the entire bridal party made the day SO much fun. It was a full 12 hours of shooting (one of the longest wedding days I’ve photographed) but it FLEW by!
I think Amelia and Trevor’s story of how they met is SO sweet, so I’m going to copy it below:
Amelia and Trevor first met at an Air Force ROTC meeting at the beginning of the Spring 2015 semester at Virginia Tech. Trevor was the Assistant Wing Physical Fitness Officer, Amelia’s boss since she was a Physical Fitness Officer at the Squadron level. As everyone at the meeting was introducing themselves, Trevor felt the need to add “Bedelia” to the end of Amelia’s introduction. In true Amelia Daniels fashion, her first words to Trevor were “Shut it.” That year, Amelia and Trevor were just friends and Amelia did her best to not roll her eyes at Trevor’s terrible jokes (nothing much has changed there). Fast forward to the first day of the Fall 2015, Amelia called Trevor for help writing an Operations Order for more Air Force ROTC “fun” (that we all know Trevor wouldn’t follow). In fact, Amelia had to borrow Trevor’s uniform name tag that week because she left her’s at home. Foreshadowing much? And really that was it, within a week, Amelia and Trevor had gone on a “not-a-date” frozen yogurt date, attended a concert on campus together, and by the end of October 2015 Trevor had convinced Amelia to “do him one more favor” and the two began dating.
You’ll have to keep reading to see how that name tag came full circle on their wedding day! Amelia and Trevor, thank you so much for entrusting me with capturing the most special day of your lives. It was such an honor, and I hope you enjoy scrolling through some of my favorites!
I absolutely LOOVEDDDD the bow on this flower girl’s dress!
Amelia wore her grandmother’s necklace to honor her on the wedding day, and I absolutely LOVED it.
A favorite!!! LOVE!!!
Daddy-daughter first look…this one made me tear up!! Amelia and her dad have such a special relationship.
When Amelia opened her letter from Trevor on the morning of the wedding…he had saved the name tag that she borrowed (that was mentioned in the story of how they met). He had kept it this entire time!! My heart melted!!
Ceremony time!!!
MARRIED!!!
Absolutely LOVE the sword arch tradition!!
Love this one!!
These portraits are some of my FAVORITES!! The light, location and 85mm lens were a dreamy combo!
The most HYPE reception entrance ever!!!
These golden hour portraits…I die!!! We almost missed the sunset but we caught the last 5 minutes and it was AMAZING!
These two may be my favorite from the whole wedding!!
