I have spent MONTHS looking forward to photographing Jules and Zach’s Charleston wedding day! I photographed Jules’ sister’s wedding last year (the adorable Kat and Carter), so I knew Jules’s family before even coming into this wedding day. They are so full of genuine kindness and joy…it is such an honor to witness and be a part of. The way the entire DeTrane family celebrates and loves each other is just so beautiful. I arrived at the Airbnb where the bridesmaids were getting ready, and that same contagious joy hit me as soon as I walked in! Despite the cold and misty morning, everyone was SO excited to witness these two get married!

I first saw Jules and Zach together at Kat and Carter’s wedding…and I remembered how adorable they were when Jules emailed me a few months later that they were ENGAGED! We met up for coffee weeks before they even had a venue or date selected for their wedding. Once they had all the details locked in, we photographed their beautiful engagement session downtown Charleston…and I’ve been counting down the days until the wedding ever since!!! They had a beautiful ceremony at a local Catholic church before their reception at Middleton Place. I had only photographed at Middleton one other time…and it is truly a photographer’s playground! I could shoot there all day and never run out of beautiful location options! I can’t wait for you to see all of the variety we were able to get in their portraits…you can’t even tell it was under 50 degrees and sprinkling outside!
