How do I even begin this post!? I’m typing this on Monday after my bridal shower. It’s 4pm but I’ve barely gotten anything done because I can’t stop scrolling through pictures and re-living memories from this weekend!!! My mom is my Matron of Honor and hosted me a floral-themed bridal shower weekend in Charleston that brought my Pinterest board dreams to life…and then some. But, on top of that, we turned the bridal shower into a whole WEEKEND of celebrations because we had so many family and friends traveling in from out of town…and I will hold so many of these memories close to my heart for my entire life. I don’t even know how to describe the joy and gratitude I feel today.

We kicked things off on Thursday with a family dinner at one of my favorite Italian restaurants in Charleston, Le Farfalle. On Friday, we had a welcome pizza party at Coastal Crust + went to see our wedding band play at a local bar that night. On Saturday we had the official shower with a poolside BBQ dinner to follow, then a goodbye brunch on Sunday morning! Hayden’s entire family drove down from Virginia, our family members flew in from as far as TEXAS, my friends flew in from Virginia + Pennsylvania and more…and it felt so surreal. I kept saying I felt like I was attending a family reunion…and I couldn’t even begin to process that everyone was there to celebrate Hayden and I. I am so, so blessed.

I just have to give the BIGGEST thank you to my amazing mom for putting this event together for me. If you’ve been following me for any amount of time, then you know that my mom is the QUEEN of hosting. She truly thrives on creating beautiful events and an amazing experience for everyone who attends…but she outdid herself. Every tiny detail was thoughtful, personal, intentional and absolutely beautiful. She never stopped running around to re-fill drinks, add to the homemade food table, greet guests, fluff gifts…and she looked stunning while doing it.

Mom, thank you for being exactly who you are. Thank you for spoiling me and spending so much of your life making sure that I always feel loved and celebrated. Thank you for being my best friend and my Matron of Honor…and for loving Hayden and his family just as much as I do. You are truly a gift and a one-of-a-kind person and I say it over and over again…but I hope to be half as amazing as you when I’m a mom someday. I love you with my whole heart and will never, ever forget this weekend.
