Last week, I shared the first 3 blog posts from our wedding day: The Details, Getting Ready and First Look. Earlier this week I shared our Ceremony & Portraits and our Reception. Now, I’m sharing the LAST POST from our wedding day…the After Party!! And it is so bittersweet to be almost done with the recap!!!

We were never initially planning on having a wedding after party. We figured we would be EXHAUSTED by the end of our wedding day and everyone would be partied out! Hahaha! But, that was back when we were getting married at a different venue…and the noise ordinance didn’t end until midnight. No one needed to party any later than that!!! So, when we moved venues, we already had our entertainment booked until 12am…but the noise ordinance at Hewitt Oaks ended at 10pm. So, we had two options: 1. End the party early and lose the money we spent on our entertainment OR 2. Move the party INSIDE the ballroom at Hewitt Oaks to keep the party alive! The team at Hewitt made this dream come true in a HUGE way…and I will forever be grateful for that!!!

I left the design and set-up for the after party completely up to the team at Hewitt…and waited until the moment I walked in at 10pm to see it for the first time. I was blown away!!! They completely transformed the ballroom into a pink disco party (complete with a FRENCH FRY BAR!!!) and so many stunning florals!!! These last two hours of our party ended up being some of the best memories: blasting Taylor Swift at full volume, getting a chance to dance with my mom and sister (they were so busy socializing at the reception!) and so many joyful moments with my HUSBAND twirling around the center of the dance floor. I will forever be grateful to Hewitt Oaks for making this happen for us and allowing us to host an after party that created so many memories I’ll never forget!

For those of you who have read EVERY wedding blog post: thank you so much for sticking around this long!!! It has been so special for me to get to re-live all of these memories with you and share such a special day of our lives. Don’t worry, I’ll be back next week to recap our honeymoon trip…so the fun isn’t quite over yet!!! 🙂

I would just like to highlight my little sister who was in the hospital passing a kidney stone the morning of our wedding (that story is in the getting ready post) and rallied in her PJs to dance with me all night long. The real MVP!!!
