Goodness, Hannah’s senior portraits at Hotel Bardo were truly amazing from start to finish! She traveled all the way to Savannah, GA from West Virginia for her session. What an HONOR! I have been dying for a reason to photograph at the new Hotel Bardo in downtown Savannah…so when Hannah’s mom said they decided to book a night there, I knew it was the perfect opportunity! We were able to get special permission to photograph on hotel property and just WAIT until you see how magical it is! The pool, courtyard and restaurants are all just unbelievable…and SO fun to photograph! I can’t wait for you to see all of my favorites!
But, the forecast was not in our favor. Sadly, Hannah was only in town for 3 days…and ALL 3 days had a high chance of rain and thunderstorms. That is always WORST case scenario for a client that’s traveling in! The key is to be as flexible as we can be and keep a close eye on the hourly forecast. We decided to shoot earlier in the afternoon on Thursday than we originally planned in hopes to beat the rain…but it doesn’t always work out that way. It started to drizzle right when we started shooting…and it never really stopped. By the end of the session, it was POURING rain on us…but you’ll have to see if you can tell! 😉 We were super strategic with WHERE we decided to shoot and hid from the downpours!
Hannah: Thank you so much for traveling so far to capture your senior portraits with me in Savannah! It was so much fun to work with you and you were a ROCKSTAR despite the crummy weather. I hope you enjoy scrolling through my favorites and SCAD would be lucky to have you next year!
I mean…c’mon! How cute is this!!!
The poolside umbrellas were our saving grace in the rain!!
And this covered courtyard!!! One of my FAVORITES areas at Hotel Bardo.
A favorite! Obsessed!
Loved incorporating this SCAD building since Hannah has her eyes set on attending next year!
By the time we got to the riverfront, it was POURING. But we embraced it! We had an umbrella in and out of frame as much as possible, and photographed under covered areas…but you won’t be able to tell thanks to the help of Photoshop 😉
