It’s that time again!!! As we enter a brand new year, one of my favorite things to do is go back and reflect on the year prior. Each year, one of the ways I do this is by curating my “best of” blog posts…my absolute FAVORITE images that I created in the last 365 days. This year feels extra special, because it was a full year of beautiful sessions and clients and “business as usual”…but it was also the year that I became a mom. We welcomed sweet Clara in February, which was followed by a 3-month maternity leave – my first time EVER taking time off of work to that degree. That means all of these sessions happened after June 1st – and with a brand new perspective on just how special it is to capture senior portraits for parents who are watching their son or daughter grow up into incredible humans. What a precious honor that is.
Some of these images are my favorite because they are technically beautiful. Some are in this post because they were really hard to shoot in the moment (HELLOOOOO crazy lighting, weird locations and insane weather)…or maybe I just feel like I truly captured my senior client in a way that feels true to THEM. This post includes every single one of my seniors that I photographed in 2024 (!!!) – enjoy a scroll through reminiscing on the year with me!!
Photographers: Almost ALL of these senior sessions were FILMED for my educational membership called THE SENIOR SCOOP! If you want to see the process of creating these images, my camera settings, the RAW images, before + after edits, my thought processes behind posing, lighting, location, etc. AND the editing process…you can jump in and join the membership for only $27 and kick off the new year with a head start on your senior work! This gorgeous floral shoot with The Pink Figgy and FireFly Wed florals was my “come back” shoot – a gift to myself to get my creative juices flowing after a 3 month maternity leave. And they are still some of my favorite images from the entire year!
You wouldn’t be able to tell, but this surfboard was BLOWING OVER because of the wind on the beach this day! There was someone behind it holding it up because it almost knocked her over!

Mimi traveled in from out of town for her session and had her heart set on flowers after a hurricane…and we got lucky enough to stumble on this!
