Pastel Girly Playroom Inspiration Clara's Playroom | Personal

Personal

I have been dreaming up this space pretty much from the moment Clara was born! This room in our house used to be my office, but I realistically only used it to film a video here or there. Otherwise, I tend to work from our kitchen, living room or Hayden’s office – it just makes it easier because they are all on the first floor! So, I knew I wanted to totally transform this room into a magical space fro Clara. Having a space dedicated entirely to play has been so, so much fun. We are also in the height of needing things to be baby-proofed – and having one room that we know is completely safe has been a HUGE help with containing Clara’s toddler-level energy!

I wanted the space to be super practical with tons of space for climbing, playing and moving. I also wanted to be sure it didn’t feel cluttered and had lots of storage space for small toys, while still feeling playful and child-like. I went into it planning on making it as unisex as possible in case we have a boy in our future someday…but I’ll be crossing that bridge when I get there 😉 I couldn’t help but lean into all the girly, pastel magic!

Some of my favorite parts of this room include the art by Simply Jessica Marie and Riley Sheehey – two of my absolute favorites that are also featured in Clara’s bedroom! The floral ribbon used as curtain tie-backs is also from Riley (and this was my mom’s idea – all credit to Mimi!) The floral chandelier was one of the first things we installed in this house, and continues to be a favorite. And the floral rug really tied all of the colors together!

This pink shelving system from Amazon is really awesome! It has 3 drawers plus all of the cubbies to hold SO many toys!

I got these 3D flowers from Hobby Lobby – I just stuck them on with command strips and love how it turned out!

The personalized chair is the perfect finishing touch with the tumbling mat – this is one of Clara’s favorite little areas to play! We also have her instruments over here! Boone even loves the playroom 🙂 Such a princess!
