What an epic ending to a week full of spring senior sessions!!! I have been looking so forward to Ava’s session in downtown Charleston. I could tell Ava, her mom and I were all kindred spirits just from our emails leading up to the session – and MAN, I was right! We could not have had more fun exploring downtown Charleston together in beautiful, floral dresses! This shoot was timed PERFECTLY for all of the gorgeous, bright colors to be in bloom all throughout downtown – and Ava’s outfit choices could not have been more iconic to match Charleston in the spring! And, any session that features The Pink Figgy is an instant favorite. Just wait until you see the cap and gown she brought to go with the car!

This shoot included ALL the best things in the world: fluffy flowers, bright colors, gorgeous light, perfectly bloomed wisteria, an iconic pink hotel (where construction happened to clear out THE DAY OF our session) and so much more. Oh, and not to mention a GORGEOUS, bubbly, joyful senior with the BEST style. How could we go wrong?!

I am not kidding…this hotel was SURROUNDED in construction less than 48 hours before the shoot. Orange cones, yellow tape, scaffolding, cranes…you name it, it was here. It was impossible to shoot here, so I told Ava and her mom we needed a different back-up plan. JUST to be safe, I drove into downtown super early…only to find all of the construction was GONE. Talk about good luck!!!

I about died when Ava’s mom casually pulled these flowers out of her trunk and said she “threw them together in the garage last night”. WHAT?!
