When Kat of Dear Sweetheart Events reaches out to me about a project or a styled shoot, I get unbelievably excited each and every time!!! This woman is a ROCK STAR and the things that she can do just blow me away!!! So, when she reached out to me asking about capturing her dear friend Emily’s bridal portraits in the mountains, I could have DIED! Uhm, OF COURSE!

On the way to Staunton for this bridal session it began to rain and we got a little nervous. The first 30 minutes of the session were totally fine, but then as we reached the tops of the mountains, the black storm clouds began blowing in faster than we could keep up!! The rest of the session turned into a storm chase, but I absolutely LOOOOVE the images that came from it!!! Shooting in the tops of the mountains with breath-taking summer storm clouds as your backdrop!? Yes please!

I adored everything about this bridal session, but the bouquet that Kat created had to be one of my favorites!! She foraged those peonies the DAY OF the shoot! Say what!? She impresses me every time!!!
