For some reason, it is RARE for me to have a wedding that is local here in Fredericksburg. I rarely ever book weddings in the little town that I live in!!! But, Heather + Eric’s wedding was hosted at the Inn at the Old Silk Mill right in the heart of downtown Fredericksburg and I LOVED every minute of it!!! Ever since Heather rocked a beautiful Lilly Pulitzer outfit at her engagement session last summer, I knew I was going to love this wedding day and I was SO right!!!
Heather and Eric tied the knot at Fredericksburg United Methodist Church before having an amazing reception at the Silk Mill. They had the old town trolleys transporting guests back and forth-it could NOT have been more beautiful! The forecast for their wedding was was 80% chance of severe storms with “possible hail and high winds” on the morning of the big day. But, when we arrived, it was sunny with blue skies. There was one quick rain shower during the ceremony and it cleared up just in time for portraits outside the church and then never rained again-it was AMAZING! But, you probably won’t even tell that it rained in any of these pictures…proof that rainy wedding days really ARE good luck!!! 🙂
Enjoy some of my favorites from Heather + Eric’s amazing wedding day!!! Congratulations, you two! Thank you for letting me be a part of such a special celebration!
LOVE this ring shot!!!
Pre-ceremony pump-up dance party!!!
Trolley ride to the church!!!
It started to POUR outside during these photos…but the light in this hallway was amazing!!! You would never know!
This is Drew’s shot of the incredible bouquets by So Lovely Weddings…I think it may be one of my favorite shots from the entire day!!!
LOVED this beautiful tree we found outside the church!!!
The bridal party surprised the bride & groom with a RAP instead of a speech…I couldn’t stop laughing!!! SO good!!!
