I don’t think I’ll ever forget the day Iris’s wedding inquiry came in. She told me that she was a photographer who had followed my work for years. She said they already knew they wanted me as their photographer in Key West (!!!) and to just let them know what they needed to do to make it happen. Are you kidding!? What an honor! So, I immediately instagram stalked her (as we all do), and I’m not exaggerating when I say that I knew right away that we could be best friends. She has bright blonde hair, a colorful Instagram feed and the most adorable, bubbly personality. I saw photos of her and Brett and, from the moment we first started chatting, I was counting down the days until I got to meet them in person!!
When Erika and I walked into the bridal suite at Truman Little White House on Saturday morning, I about fell over with excitement. I got to hug Iris for the first time (yay!!!) and we agreed that we felt like we already knew each other. She showed me where she had all of her details organized for me (as only a wedding photographer would know to do) and we got to work! The entire morning was overflowing with joy and bubbly personalities. We head out the door in the afternoon to ride the Trolley around Key West for portraits, and finished the day with the most beautiful ceremony and stunning outdoor reception. Throughout the entire day, the love that surrounded Iris and Brett was so evident. Their friends and family traveled in from all over the COUNTRY to celebrate their love. It was easily one of my favorite weddings to date just because of the joy and love that filled every single moment!
From breathtaking details, adorable bridesmaids, a precious first look, dreamy portraits and a reception set up straight out of a magazine – I can’t WAIT for you to see this wedding day!
Iris and Brett: thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for inviting me into such a special celebration. I am so grateful for the opportunity to travel to Key West for your big day, and I hope you enjoy some of my favorites! I can’t WAIT for you to see the full gallery!
