I have so many things to say about Chelsea Kaye and Neal…I don’t know how I’m going to fit it all in one blog post! To start it off, I have a funny story. When Chelsea inquired with me, the location/venue of her wedding was “near VT”. I didn’t pay much attention to it, because I shoot multiple weddings on/near the Virginia Tech campus each year. So when they came for their in-person consultation a few weeks later, we made casual conversation for awhile before I said “so where on the Virginia Tech campus are you getting married!?” They looked at each other and back at me and said “no….we’re getting married in VERMONT”. LOL OH. Biggest face-palm moment ever. BUT, we laughed it off and when they left I had to take a deep breathe and soak it in…they wanted to FLY me all the way to VERMONT to capture these images for them!? How is this real life!?
Needless to say, I have been looking forward to this big day for awhile. Not only was it taking place in a GORGEOUS location…the theme and inspiration was “garden party” with tons of fluffy florals and personal touches. Chelsea and Neal have been so much fun to work with…and I still remember the sweet photos they sent me when they received their bridal guide in the mail!! I got a photo of them holding their package and it melted my heart! They are the clients that photographers DREAM about having. They had so much trust in me and it helped me to capture so many new favorite images at their wedding. They are both so thoughtful, genuine and kind-hearted…it was such a privilege to meet their families and capture their memories.
Chelsea Kaye and Neal: Thank you both so much for giving me the absolute honor of capturing your wedding day. These memories will always be so special to me and exploring Vermont was such a treat! I hope you enjoy a few of my favorites and have so much fun on your HONEYMOON! XOXO!
New fave ring shot!!! Loved playing with these extra blooms!
This bridal bouquet!! SWOON!!!
I think I could’ve photographed in this bridal suite all day!!!
First look with daddy!!! Heart melted.
MARRIED!!!
Chelsea and Neal were so prepared for the rain. I was only able to fly with 2 of my clear umbrellas…so she ordered 15 just in case!!! And we ended up needing them during this part of the day!!
These views were seriously jaw-dropping…and the clouds hadn’t even fully cleared yet!!
LOVE this one!!!
These barn doors were a dream and this light was PERFECT!!
Chelsea surprised Neal with a song she had composed just for their wedding. She is a talented musician and performed it with a flute choir in front of their entire reception…it was beautiful!! This was Neal’s reaction!!
“Sunset portraits” with no sun!! BUT the clouds had finally cleared more so we got to see the mountains in all of their glory!!
A huge thank you to the creative team that made this day happen:
