Hunter and Andy met at a bar on Virginia Tech campus and immediately hit it off. Then, years later, Andy proposed in Blacksburg (the place that carried SO many special memories for them as a couple!!!) and it went off without a hitch! Even though Andy taped the ring box to his shin with gorilla tape to hide it on their walk to the place where the proposal happened…hahaha!!! I was looking SO forward to this day because both Andy and Hunter have the sweetest, calming personalities. I knew it would be a relaxed and FUN day no matter what!

When I woke up on Saturday morning, it was a grey and rainy day. But not just a little drizzle…it was a full fledge MONSOON!! And there was not a single break in the rain in the forecast. WHEW. I packed up rain boots, a waterproof jacket and tons of umbrellas and started my drive to Gainesville! As I was driving, the rain kept getting heavier…and I kept my fingers crossed that Heritage Hunt would have the PERFECT covered areas for portraits!

The forecast ended up being true…and there was NEVER a break in the rain throughout the entire day. BUT, Hunter and Andy were SO relaxed and patient through it all. They were TROOPERS and braved the rain (which was coming down sideways!!!) for some outdoors portraits on the side patio. It was such a fun challenge to photograph and I am SO thankful that they were both up for it, too!! 🙂

Hunter and Andy: Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your special day! I had SO much fun at your wedding and your guests and family are so wonderful. I hope you enjoy some of my favorites from your gorgeous wedding! XO!
