I have been looking forward to Mackenzie and Brian’s wedding day since the day I met them last year. They are kind, joyful, bubbly and just so wonderfully welcoming to everyone they meet. When I arrived at the bridal cottage on the morning of the wedding, Mackenzie welcomed me with the sweetest hug and she could not have been more excited to marry the love of her life. Shortly after I arrived, someone knocked on the door…and the girls opened it to find a GROOMSMEN waiting there. And he was BLINDFOLDED. He walked in to deliver a “gift” from Brian…and it was a handwritten card and a single red rose. Throughout the entire morning, each of the 5 groomsmen showed up with a handwritten note and a rose to tell Mackenzie just how excited he was to become her husband. Then, during the first look…he handed her a “forever rose”: a glass rose that would never die, just like the promises they were about to make on the altar. Nothing describes their love better than that story. The mutual respect and adoration they have for each other inspires everyone around them.
This day was such a JOY to photograph. The entire bridal party and every single guest were just beaming with excitement to have the privilege of celebrating Mackenzie and Brian! It was a little chilly…but no one cared. They were such troopers for all of the beautiful portraits you are about to see and the details were absolutely STUNNING. Let’s just talk about those shoes. Mackenzie, you’ve got some seriously awesome style, girl!
