This post is so fun for me to be sharing!!! My sweet little sister Abby turned 14 over the weekend. Even though we are in the midst of moving to Charleston (her birthday was the day before the movers came!), we still wanted to make her birthday SO special. Birthdays have been and always will be a big deal in the Taylor family!!! So, as one of her gifts, my mom and I planned to surprise her with a birthday portrait session with me!! When she woke up on her birthday to open gifts, there was a floral crown and bouquet of sunflowers sitting with everything else. We wanted her to open up the free shoot last…so we gave her everything else (including her cute outfits!) first. Then, she opened the envelope that said “time to get ready for your photoshoot!” and she was SO EXCITED. It so special and so so sweet!!!

We spent the afternoon doing her hair and makeup, and determining which outfits she was going to wear at each location! Then we headed out to explore my parent’s neighborhood and we found SO many good spots to shoot!!! It was so fun! We jammed to Ariana Grande between locations and it was the greatest. I love these pictures SO much and, to answer the most popular question, NO – this girl never went through an awkward phase. And I will be bitter about it for the rest of my life.
