Jess and Tony are such a special couple. I’ve been chatting with them over email for half a year and counting down the days until I got to meet them!! These two live in Texas but were planning a wedding in Fredericksburg…less than 3 blocks from my home in downtown! They both attended the University of Mary Washington (but at different times, 5 years apart!) and connected once they both relocated to Texas because they were both UMW alumni. So, they traveled all the way back to VA to tie the knot on the very campus that connected them and resulted in them falling in love!

I knew I loved them the second we started chatting over email…but I’ve been dying to hug them in person! We tried to schedule this engagement session so many different times…but weather and travel schedules made it SO tricky. So, we photographed this engagement session last Thursday…and they got married on Saturday!! They went straight from their engagement session to a celebratory dinner with their family, and I got to see them again 48 hours later for their WEDDING! I’ve had a handful of my couples do their engagement session the same week as their wedding. It is always SO much fun!! They get extra images to celebrate the week of their wedding, the poses are fresh in their mind on the wedding day and we get to connect in such a special way the week-of!!! It was no different for Jess and Tony and I ADORE these pictures…and can’t wait for your to see their wedding on the blog TOMORROW!
