In case you missed it last week, I hosted my 12th (!!!) Hope Taylor Workshop, and the last one EVER in Virginia. You can see the full recap HERE! There are so many pieces of this workshop experience that I love putting together…but the styled shoot is ALWAYS so exciting. Kat, Courtney and I have all worked together for the last few workshops I have hosted…and they are a DREAM TEAM, ya’ll! We wanted this shoot to reflect my move to Charleston with southern inspiration and a soft pink color palette…and they knocked it out of the park!!

This part of the workshop is always one of the attendee’s faves, because they get the chance to capture BEAUTIFUL portfolio images…but they also get to apply everything they’ve learned from the lecture portion of the day! And they get to face real-life wedding day scenarios…like 106 degree temps!!! CRAZY. We had a few mishaps during the shoot (like the cake melting and makeup sweating off!) but the attendees were ROCKSTARS about it all! And, we were all able to get images we LOVE!!! These may be some of my favorite workshop styled shoot images to date!

I JUST CAN’T.

The cake may have only lasted a few minutes…but it sure was gorgeous!

I get to photograph these two and their wedding later this fall and I can’t WAIT!!!

 

When the cake that was supposed to be on this swing melted, I asked Kat if she felt like the swing could hold a human. And, SURPRISE: it does!!!!

 

Workshop attendees get to learn about photographing both weddings AND seniors – and look how stinking gorgeous they are!!!

You seriously can’t even tell they’ve been in the heat all day!!!
