My FIRST engagement session of 2021…and it was special for more than one reason!!! I have known Emilee since I was all the way back in middle school. We were close friends for many, many years and both went to the same high school as Brandon! Emilee and Brandon knew of each other…but were never really close until just a few years ago. They re-connected and have been together ever since…and now they are getting MARRIED later this fall! When I got the FaceTime call that Emilee wanted me to be her photographer I was SO over-the-moon thrilled to capture memories for such a sweet friend of mine!!!

We decided to do Emilee and Brandon’s engagement session in our home town of Fredericksburg, Virginia…which made it even more special. But, when we woke up on the day of the shoot, it was a super cloudy and grey day. Clouds are a photographer’s friend (it makes the light gorgeous!!!) but rain is not…and it looked pretty rainy where I was staying in Northern Virginia. I kept checking the forecast and there was a 0% chance of rain in Fredericksburg…until the first 5 minutes of the shoot. It started steadily raining and didn’t stop for a good 45 minutes. And we didn’t have any umbrellas because I traveled in!!! So, we kept shooting despite the rain with our fingers crossed it would lighten up. About 45 minutes in, the clouds started to clear and the sun peeked through RIGHT as we found a gorgeous floral tree…and I DIED. So many amazing shots!!

Emilee and Brandon, thank you so, so much for entrusting me with capturing some of your most precious memories! I had SO much fun at your engagement session and am counting down the minutes until your Pippin Hill wedding in November! Enjoy scrolling through some of my favorites!
