Oh my goodness, I love this shoot SO much!! Michael reached out to me back in April to inquire about a proposal he was planning for his girlfriend, Betsy. Just from his initial inquiry alone, I could tell that Michael was beyond thoughtful, and that he wanted to make this moment a surprise for Betsy. They were both traveling to Kiawah Island for a vacation this summer, and she wasn’t suspecting a thing! He knew all about her love of flowers, so he decided to work with Sweet Jessamine’s Flower Truck (one of my local favorites) to pull off the surprise.

They arrived at their resort on Kiawah Island and went straight to the room to freshen up for their dinner plans. Michael casually suggested a walk around the resort before dinner, where the flower truck was parked. It just appeared the truck was on property for all resort guests…until Michael pulled a custom bouquet out from behind the truck with the ring tied onto it! AH!!! Such a dream!! Michael got on one knee and asked Betsy to marry him, and we were there to capture every moment. Afterwards, we explored the property together to get portraits of the newly engaged couple – and I just adore every single one!

Michael, thank you for entrusting me with capturing such precious memories for you and Betsy. You were dream clients from beginning to end, and I am so thrilled for you both! Congratulations again, and enjoy scrolling through some of my favorites!!
