I’ve said it on the blog SO many times and I’ll say it over and over again: one of the BEST emails I can get is an inquiry from another photographer!!! When Madison emailed me that her and her fiancé, Christian, would be in Charleston and wanted me to capture some portraits for them… I was SO excited! It’s always such an honor (and slightly intimidating!) for a professional photographer to choose ME to capture their memories. Madison and Christian wanted to capture the best of the best Charleston locations: Rainbow Row and some glowing Spanish moss. But, Charleston threw us a curveball when tropical storm Elsa decided to roll in the exact day we had our shoot scheduled. I was actually in Savannah for the week, but came back one day early at the last second so we could capture this session before the storm rolled in. And I am SO glad that we did!! We had the BEST lighting and weather we could have asked for during a Charleston July!

We explored some of my absolute favorite spots surrounding Rainbow Row (including going on a hunt for a pink tree I SWORE I saw on my drive in that ended up being VERY hard to find, haha!!) Madison and Christian made my job SO easy, and we used this shoot to capture a combination of some engagement photos and branding photos because they are now BUSINESS PARTNERS in their photography business! So exciting!!!

Madison and Christian: thank you for trusting me to capture these memories for you both, and for being a DREAM to photograph! I have SO many favorites (prepare for a lot of scrolling!) and can’t wait to see your wedding images later this year! XOXOXO!

I literally saw this tree on my drive in and then couldn’t remember where I saw it. We talked in a huge circle to finally stumble upon it near a random alleyway…and it was so worth it!

Another one of my favorite things about photographing other photographers is that they don’t think I’m crazy when I ask them to climb into a bush. Madison and Christian totally trusted my vision here because they knew the light was amazing!! We looked like crazy people but it was worth it, haha!!
