It has been so long since I’ve shared a wedding planning update on the blog!!! Things have just been a tad bit insane for the last few months, but I’m back with an update AND a peek into my bridesmaids boxes! First things first, here’s what we’ve had going on the last few months:

-Me moving from Charleston to Savannah

-Selling my house

-Building our house in Savannah (various design + mortgage meetings)

-Hayden moving from his apartment to my apartment

-Hayden taking the level III CFA exam

-Wedding planning meetings + coordination

-Combining our lives with things like insurance and expenses

-The holidays with both of our families in SC + VA

Whew…it’s been a whirlwind! But, in the midst of it all, we’ve had SO much fun dreaming up our wedding day + our new home in Savannah. Our house is scheduled to be finished up in Jan or Feb 2022 (fingers crossed things stay on time!!!), so we will be moving again here very soon…but then things should finally settle down!! On the wedding planning front, we have quite a few exciting updates!! We have been having monthly meetings with our amazing planner, Katie, of Social Graces Events and have made SO much planning progress. We’ve now booked our florist, videographer, a cigar lounge and hair and makeup. Our save the dates are going out the next two weeks (!!!), and I have my DRESS!!! AH!!! Now that I’m typing this out, I can’t even believe we’ve done so much since the last planning update in June! Here is our current vendor list (going to add this to every post to keep track):

One of the most exciting parts of planning for me in the last few months was getting my BRIDESMAIDS BOXES sent out!! When trying to decide what to get my bridesmaids, I had the hardest time coming up with something unique and thoughtful. Because almost all of my bridesmaids + closest friends are wedding photographers themselves…a lot of us have received the typical curated gift boxes in the industry. We see so many weddings and so many bridesmaids gifts…I wanted them to be super personal. So, I landed on the idea of creating a custom mini KISS album for each of my girls! I spent hours designing an album for each of my girls that was filled with photos of our friendship over the years.

Then, I wanted to get them something they would wear on the wedding day and love even afterwards. I have followed Spence Designs for SO long now, and I own SO many of her beautiful earring designs. When she told me she’d be willing to create custom earrings for my girls, I was SO excited!!! I knew it would be the perfect finishing touch on the gift boxes! Now that the girls all have their boxes and have said YES to being a bridesmaid, I can finally share photos with you!!! My mom will be my maid of honor and Abby (my sister), Erika, Natalie, Kristen and Morgan will be standing by my side when I marry the man of my dreams and I cannot WAIT!!!
