Getting to photograph another photographer is always SUCH an incredible honor. But, getting to go back to Fredericksburg and do it in the town that I began my business in was even more special!!! Emma Jo is a college senior that graduates this year. She is also a photographer based in North Carolina…and she traveled all the way to Virginia for her senior portraits!! She is such a bundle of light and joy…and I absolutely adored working with her. Her and her sweet mom are BEST friends, and they made a roadtrip out of it!!
We photographed throughout downtown Fredericksburg on what proved to be a rainy and chilly evening. But, something kind of amazing happened!!! As I was driving through downtown scouting locations, I spotted a car shop that had old VW vans parked out front. I thought about how cute it would be to photograph there…and that it couldn’t possibly hurt to just call and ask if they would be okay with it. And they WERE!!! The owners were SO kind and let us photograph with the beautiful, old school vans for almost 30 minutes!! They were so sweet!!! And they are some of my favorite images from the shoot!
