This engagement session was SO special to me! Not only was it my first time EVER on St. Simons Island…but it was for two dear friends of mine, Olivia and Curt. I have known Olivia since high school, and have photographed her SO many times in the last 10 years: senior portraits, family portraits, workshops, modeling for me when I was just starting…we go WAY back. And, when Hayden and I started dating over 3 years ago, Olivia just happened to move into the apartment complex next door to him (from our same home town in Virginia)! We started dating Hayden and Curt in the SAME WEEK! I remember us laying by the pool together talking about how special they both were…and look where we are now!

Olivia, Curt and I explored some of the most gorgeous areas on St. Simons Island. As we drove over the bridge to get there, the sky was black with storm clouds and we got a little bit nervous…but the clouds broke for the most STUNNING golden hour light for our ENTIRE shoot! And the storms that passed through cooled it off a little bit before we got started. Talk about an ideal situation for an August evening in the low-country! It could not have been more perfect!

Olivia and Curt: Thank you so much for trusting me to capture such a special season of your lives! I adore you both and am so lucky to call you friends. I can’t wait to photograph your wedding day in October, and I hope you enjoy scrolling through some of my favorite images from your shoot!
