This week of blogging our wedding day has been SO fun for me! In case you missed it, I blogged the Details and Getting Ready portions of our wedding day. Today, I’m sharing Hayden and I’s first look…and the portraits that followed!

This is going to be one of the posts where I let the PHOTOS speak more than the words…it was such a special party of our day. Hayden and I chose to do a first look (meaning we saw each other before the ceremony) and also exchanged private, personal vows. Hayden is the introverted one in our relationship, so sharing vows in front of all of our guests was his worst nightmare. And honestly, I ended up LOVING that we chose to do it this way. It was so intimate and special, and I cried like a BABY the entire time. Like…shaking and sobbing. And I am NOT a cute crier. Haha!

My favorite part about our vows is that, without knowing, we ended our vows the exact same way. Back when we were best friends for years, before I ever knew how Hayden felt about me…he sent me a text one night that said “we would be really, really happy together, Hope Taylor”. He went into detail about how he could picture our relationship and what it would look like to cheer each other on, support one another and pursue our dreams side-by-side. He said that, no matter what, he still wanted to be best friends…but that he had to be honest about how he felt. That was the turning point for us and, just a few weeks later, I told him I loved him and the rest is history. Haha! We BOTH ended our vows by quoting that conversation and how we are, in fact, really, really happy together. I couldn’t believe we ended with the exact same sentence!

After exchanging our vows, we did some portraits just us before our bridal party and families joined us for a few more! I’m inclduing ALL of that goodness in today’s post. And, next week, I’ll be sharing our CEREMONYYY, the rest of our portraits, our reception and our after party! LET’S DO THIS!

Instant tears. I’ll always remember this moment!!!! He had NO idea what my dress looked like. I couldn’t wait to show him!

Showing him that it was A LOT of dress…I had to twirl then UN-twirl HAHAHA

In this moment he said something along the lines of “I missed you so much today and SO MANY PEOPLE ASKED ME QUESTIONS and you WEREN’T EVEN THERE TO HELP” hahahaha, that still makes me laugh!

These bridesmaids photos are some of my absolute favorites. I let each of my girls pick their own dress, I just provided some inspo and a color palette…and I LOVED them!
