It has taken me much longer to blog this than I wanted it to…but I’m so excited to share it!! A few weeks ago, we had our first BABY SHOWER hosted by my amazing momma here in Savannah! We are having two showers (one in Virginia with all of Hayden’s family early next year!) and I have been looking so, so forward to both of them. My sweet mom put so much work into planning such a gorgeous shower for us. It’s actually kind of funny…she asked if I wanted to help plan or pick anything out, and I told her absolutely NOT. Planning a wedding was enough for me, I was THRILLED to let her take the lead and choose everything for the shower! Haha! She also has the BEST style and is truly the hostess with the mostest. It was a no-brainer and it could not have been a more special weekend!

We knew we wanted to host this shower here in Savannah so that all of our local friends and family could attend. We actually chose to do it SUPER close by at our amazing neighborhood country club! The shower was on Sunday, but it was SO special because my best friend, Erika, and Hayden’s amazing parents came to town to celebrate with us all weekend long! We kicked off the celebrations on Saturday with an AMAZING home-cooked meal thanks to Hayden. He spent all week preparing the famous Don Angie’s lasagna recipe that I absolutely LOVE (and had been craving for weeks!) We were so spoiled! Then, we had the shower at brunch on Sunday morning – and we spent the rest of Sunday afternoon un-boxing all of our sweet gifts and starting to put the nursery together! It was SO much fun!

To my sweet momma, thank you so much for being the absolute best Mimi in the world ALREADY. We couldn’t love you more if we tried, and you made all of my dreams come true with this beautiful shower! I don’t know what I would do without you!

To all of our friends and family who traveled to love on us at this shower, and who purchased from our registry even if they couldn’t make it: we are so thankful to have you in our lives. We feel so blessed that baby girl is already so, so loved. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
