What an absolutely amazing WHIRLWIND of a week last week! I started the week in Dallas, Texas to speak at the Creative Educator Conference, then ended the week in Virginia for our Fredericksburg baby shower! We had a local shower here in Savannah late last year, but my amazing momma-in-law and Aunt Sarah hosted us a shower in Virginia so all of our Fredericksburg friends and family could celebrate baby girl, too. It was SO generous of them! Getting to celebrate with all of our favorite people was so, so special. All of my long-time friends (aka my bridesmaids!!!) are local to Fredericksburg, and so are all of Hayden’s extended family members. Having everyone together in one place was so wonderful!
It was a (very) chilly, 20-degree day after a random snowstorm hit VA the day before, so the “baby, it’s cold outside” theme could not have been more perfect! We had delicious bourbon and barbecue, played hilarious games and everyone got to feel baby girl kick after I ate some sugary cookies! Haha!! The details were absolutely beautiful (the soft pink and green combo is clearly my fave) and everyone showered baby girl Blow with so much love. We feel so lucky.
To my sweet MIL and Aunt Sarah: Thank you for hosting us such a gorgeous, thoughtful baby shower! We love you both so much and it truly means the world to us. I’m still nibbling on my gluten free cookies – haha!!!
To all of our friends and family who traveled to love on us at this shower, and who purchased from our registry even if they couldn’t make it: we are so thankful to have you in our lives. We feel so blessed that baby girl is already so, so loved. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
Kicking off the photos with some iPhone snaps! On Thursday, I flew from Dallas to Richmond, VA to see two of my closest friends: Kristen and Natalie. I spent one night at one of my favorite hotels to decompress and rest after a long conference week! The first order of business was ordering my favorite local cookies and eating them in bed. Haha!
I spent Friday working and spending time with my girlfriends before Hayden picked me up to take me to Fredericksburg!
Getting to meet baby Alora was such a highlight!!!
Now for the SHOWER on Saturday!!!
Almost 33 weeks in this photo! So crazy how fast time is flying!!!
My sweet family came from Charleston so we would all be in one place!
Now for the “real” photos from my camera!! Can you believe Aunt Sarah MADE these flowers by hand!? SO pretty! I can’t wait to hang this wreath on our door when baby arrives!
The guys favorite place to hangout at the shower 😉
This adorable elephant already has a permanent place in the nursery!!!
The most gorgeous handmade onesie from Sarah!!
