This time of year is typically a slow season for photographers but every once in a while I have a senior session in the middle of winter. This is one of those!! It was not the weather we were expecting in sunny, warm California for Megan’s senior session, but it still turned out SO beautifully.

P.S. Did I mention she’s a ballerina… and that you can watch the whole thing?!

During Megan’s Ballerina Senior Session, I climbed crazy cliffs in Laguna Beach while shooting during less than ideal winter weather and:

• Photographed a dancer in locations that looked different than they did when I first scouted them out
• Created flattering poses for a petite client when it was cold and grey
• Pivoted when certain poses just weren’t working
• And still delivered a client gallery that we BOTH loved!
