This is probably going to be my last blog post of 2024…and what an absolutely perfect note to end on 🙂 Over the weekend, we hosted my family’s annual gingerbread house party…except this year, it was for CLARA. My mom has been hosting this party since I was only 1 year old, and we grew up doing it every single year. As babies, it was a fun little mingling event for the moms. As toddlers, it was one of the highlights of our season to have our friends over and be surrounded by candy. As we grew up, and even into our teenage years – it became such a fun competition with our dearest friends. And now, the tradition carries on for the very first grand baby!
For this year’s party, we decided to embrace AAAALLL the pink for baby Clara! The party was for all of my local mom friends with littles…and our house was full of families and babies under 2 years old. It was just the absolute sweetest (and slightly chaotic HAHA) – but I loved every second of it. We had light bites, pouches and snacks for the kiddos, and tons of candy to go around. We normally grab a good amount of candy to start with, then each guest brings a bag of their favorite candy to share! This year, we did pre-made houses to make things easier – and there are small plastic cups of icing at each place setting. There is candy scattered throughout the table, and a candy “bar” with empty cups to go re-fill your favorites. Almost all of the decor was found at Michael’s Craft Store and Home Goods – we had so much fun spending the last couple of months collecting all of the girly, pink, candy-themed cuteness for the party!
I have to give the BIGGEST thank you to my mom and sister for all of their help to make this party happen. They came down from Charleston for the weekend to help me clean, prep, set-up and make all of the food…plus they brought a full car load of decorations, candies, the table and chairs, groceries and so much more. We had the best time hosting this together and I will never, ever forget all of the magical Christmas memories!
Also a huge thank you to Savannah Celebrations for the gorgeous balloon installation and to This Must Be The Cookie for the PRECIOUS party favors!
