I have been thinking about this blog post for WEEKS leading up to today…and I already know I’m not going to have the right words to adequately explain my love for Remy and Eli or their magical wedding day. But I’m sure going to try!!

Remy is one of my sweet Hope Taylor Workshop alumni and someone who has become a dear friend of mine. She attended her first workshop right around the same time she got engaged to Eli…and emailed me the day after to tell me that they decided they wanted to hire ME as their wedding photographer. What an HONOR. I couldn’t contain my excitement because I already adored her after just meeting her once!! Then, I got to meet Eli for the first time at their Outer Banks engagement session and immediately knew that these two were destined for big, big things. I love when I can see God’s hand so evidently in relationships and marriages…and these two shine so brightly for the Lord. It’s contagious and their entire wedding day was the same way!!

When Drew and I arrived in Avon on Friday, we were so excited about the beautiful weather. It was sunny with blue skies and a perfect breeze…it could not have been any better! We spent the day in OBX Friday before photographing the wedding all day Saturday…but I don’t think we’ve ever wanted a day to pass faster than we did that Friday! We were SO ready to see these guys!! Saturday morning finally rolled around and it seriously was just the BEST day ever!!

I often describe my couples as joyful and life-loving…and Remy and Eli are the epitome of both of those things. The one thing that kept resonating throughout the entire day was that Remy and Eli are going to change LIVES together. No, really…all of the guests, vendors and family members were saying the same thing…these two have big things in store. I feel so lucky to have been even a small part of it all, and I said to Drew on the way home: “I love being around other couples who I learn from and who make me a better person by just from being in the same room as them”. I feel so blessed to know Remy and Eli and even luckier to call them friends!
