I walked into the getting ready space on the morning of Ali and Josh’s wedding and it looked like it was built by Lilly Pulitzer herself. The walls were covered in bright, fun patterns and every detail was the perfect preppy touch! The bridesmaids were wearing floral robes and listening to the best getting ready playlist. Everyone was buzzing with excitement and I just knew it was going to be a perfect day from the very start!

Ali and Josh met when Josh responded to Ali’s Craigslist ad looking for a 4th roommate at her house in Portland, ME. He ended up moving in with her and her 2 friends for the summer while working an internship nearby. They became close over that summer, but parted ways when they both moved out that August. They thought that was the end of it…until Josh came to DC to visit Ali in October. They’ve been together ever since! Their love is one that was so clearly meant to be. They compliment each other perfectly and capturing their wedding day was such an honor.

The Greenbrier was a bucket list venue of mine for YEARS at the beginning of my business. I dreamed of shooting there since my family went on Christmas vacation when I was in middle school. This was my second wedding I was able to photograph on the property and I still can’t believe it was real life! Fluffy florals, bright preppy details and a reception that felt a whole lot like a scene from Beauty and the Beast made me feel like the luckiest photographer on the planet!
