I photographed Lauren and Riley for the first time at their engagement session early this year. They invited me to get dinner with them afterwards and treated me to the most DELICIOUS burger and fries in Charlottesville…and we talked for hours! Ever since that evening, I have been waiting for their wedding day. These two both radiate JOY and love in a way that makes everyone around them want to be happier. They are such a beacon of happiness and role models to so many of their loved ones! Their wedding day was absolutely gorgeous and so detail-oriented…but it was also so much more than that.

These two have known eachother since PRESCHOOL (!!!) and Lauren’s dad has a video of them when they were 4 years old at their preschool graduation…amazing! They split ways in elementary school but met back up in middle school a few years later. In 7th grade, Lauren knew she liked him. But, no matter how many times her friend’s asked Riley if he liked her back…he always responded with a “no”! Finally, in 8th grade, Lauren called Riley to see if they had any classes together. Turns out, they had all EIGHT classes together that year!!! Then, their freshman year of high school, Riley asked Lauren to their homecoming dance (only 2 weeks into school…and the dance wasn’t until October). After the dance, Riley asked Lauren to be his girlfriend…and she said YES! They’ve been together ever since!!!

Needless to say, this wedding day was a long time coming and all of the guests were THRILLED to celebrate Lauren and Riley coming together as husband and wife. The classic Southern details, beautiful fall foliage and thoughtful moments throughout the day have made it a new favorite of mine!

This space wasn’t a bridal suite…it was actually the office of the Trump Pavilion space. We emptied it out and covered it because the light was amazing…and I’m SO glad that we did!!!
