My FINAL shoot of the entire YEAR!!! SO, so crazy!!! And I can’t think of a better way to end my 2018 portrait shooting season than with Candice and Michael’s engagement session. We bonded over email about our mutual love for Capitals hockey from the start…but I about died when Candice suggested shooting a portion of their session ON THE ICE at the Capitals facility !!!! A literal dream come true. I still don’t know how she pulled it off, but I arrived to meet them at the exact same place where the Capitals players practice and regularly work…and they had on custom Caps jerseys!!!! Talk about an ideal couple. I just love these guys!!!

We photographed on the ice (still can’t believe that #1. it happened and #2. I didn’t slip and bust my booty) before heading to Mt. Vernon – which is another stunning location I’ve always wanted to photograph! Talk about making your photographer’s dreams come true – haha!! We spent over an hour walking the gorgeous property and stopping to shoot at some of their favorite spots. It was SO much fun and they even got me a Mt. Vernon Christmas ornament on the way out!! The first non-Hobby Lobby ornament on my whole tree 🙂

Candice and Michael, you were such a dream to work with and to photograph! Thank you for making your engagement session so much FUN – I hope you enjoy some of my favorites! Counting down the days until June 2019!!!! 🙂
