When Brittany emailed me that she wanted to do her engagement session in the mountains during the fall season…I was jumping for joy!!! It’s not secret that I LOVE that fall foliage…and the views from the mountain tops in Shenandoah National park CANNOT be beat! We made a plan to hike up to the top of Stony Man within the park for the first half of their shoot and I was just counting down the days!!! The only hard part of shooting in the park is that there is NO cell service…so finding each other and getting to the right place can be slightly entertaining!

We arrived at the bottom of Stony Man and went through their outfits to make a game plan. We were going to hike up to the top, change one outfit there, then hike back down to shoot in another part of the park before dark. Easy peasy! Except, when we got to the top…the wind was HOWLING!!! Ya’ll, I’m not even joking…it almost blew me off the mountain. Haha! But Brittany and Alexander were TROOPERS! We all had freezing fingers and toes by the end…but they ROCKED it and even managed to change outfits at the top of a mountain in a windstorm. It was seriously incredible and I’m still impressed!

I had so much fun getting to learn more about Brittany and Alexander on our hike to and from the first location. They are such a sweet couple and share my love for the Christmas season!! We had a BLAST and I can’t wait to photograph their wedding in 2019. Enjoy some of my faves with the most AMAZING views!!!
