2018 Gift Guide: For Her My favorite goodies & gift ideas!

Personal

Richmond_Virginia_Southern_Wedding_Photographer_6852

I am SO excited to be adding something brand new to my holiday blogging this year!!! Last year, I did a February Gift Guide and a Holiday Gift Idea post – and you guys loved them!!! They are still some of my most-read posts to date! So, this year, I thought about just doing one more…but realized that wouldn’t be enough space to share #allthethings I wanted to include. So I am doing THREE separate gift guides this week: For Her, For Creatives and For Home!

These gift guides include things I have sourced from my Instagram DMs, my most frequently asked questions and some of my own favorites things! They are of varying price points (some would make great stocking stuffers, and some would be a much larger gift!) but my hope is that you can find some things you LOVE to buy for a loved one, or to add to your own wish list this year 🙂  This post contains all of my favorite gifts “For Her” – all of the girly things that I swear by and have become “staples” in my wardrobe or in my life!

#1: Makeup (My Top 3)
I was going to try to limit this to one makeup product…but that just wouldn’t have gone well. I’ve been getting dozens of Instagram messages each day asking about my makeup products, so I’m going to share my Top 3 faves for right now! Maybe I’ll do a more detailed makeup blog post in the future 😉

KYLIE JENNER VELVET LIPSTICK IN COMMANDO

This is my go-to daily lipstick! It’s a beautiful nude shade with orangey undertones and looks SO good on pretty much anyone who’s tried it. I also layer it with Fenty Lip Gloss! I prefer the velvet lipstick over the matte liquid lip because it’s less drying and seems to last longer for me.

IT COSMETICS SUPERHERO MASCARA

I discovered this early in 2018 thanks to a few different bloggers that I follow, and it is my new all-time fave. It lengthens my lashes, doesn’t smudge or transfer during the day and applies so easily!

TARTE SHAPE TAPE CONCEALER

If you are currently using any other concealer…literally just throw it away and buy this. I’m only kind of joking – haha!! I SWEAR by this stuff (along with every Youtube makeup guru ever) and don’t know how I lived without it before I found it. I’m also thankful they made a new pale shade for the pasty people of the world like myself 🙂

#2: Tatcha & Glam Glow Face Masks

I’ve mentioned it a few times on Instagram at this point, but I’ve been having some serious skin and breakout issues the last few months. I’ve been searching for some products to help, including face masks, and these have become my new faves! They are both on the pricey side and definitely a more luxury mask than a typical sheet mask from Sephora, which is why they make a better and more thoughtful gift! But, those sheet masks are pretty freakin’ awesome, too.

#3: Curling Iron

I can’t take any credit for this one, because my mom found it…but it’s THE. BOMB. It heats up in literally seconds, comes with a heat-proof glove and the shape of it creates beautiful curls that last forever. And my hair is tricky to curl!!!

#4: Kendra Scott Ring & Bracelet

These pieces were both gifted to me for my birthday, and I wear them every single day now! I get asked about them all. the. time and they are so neutral and elegant – so they go with anything you could possibly choose to wear!

#5: Statement Earrings (Top 3)

Yet again, I couldn’t choose just one. Statement earrings are my new fave accessory, and I own LOTS of different pairs that I love! But, here’s just a few faves:

BAUBLE BAR TASSELS (HERE is a more affordable Target dupe that I love, too!)

J. CREW PEARL & CRYSTAL (I wear these to shoot weddings and they work to dress up or down!)

TORTOISE HOOPS (Basically haven’t taken these off since the beginning of fall!)

#6: Leopard Print Loafers

I just bought these two weeks ago and I. AM. OBSESSED. They are so, so, so comfortable and go with so many different outfits. I can dress them up or dress them down – they’re a new staple for me!

#7: Bath Bombs (from Sugar and Spruce!)

These ladies are a local company right here in downtown Fredericksburg and I just LOVE their brand and their products! They have the most amazing bath bombs and bath products along with soooo many other skincare items. You can use the code “HOPE” to get 15% off of your order!

#8: Tiffany Sunglasses

I found these sunglasses when I stumbled upon them in a shop in Charleston last year. I had NEVER purchased myself a pair of “nice” sunglasses…but I have been in love with these since I tried them on!

#9: Cozy Socks (American Eagle)

I’m not sure what girl DOESN’T love a pair of cozy winter socks. I just purchased 3 new pairs at American Eagle and they are AMAZING. So soft, tons of options and super affordable! I linked my current faves (that I’m wearing as I type this!)

#10: Custom Drawing (Twila & Co.)

This may be one of my favorite gifts I have EVER received! My mom purchased a custom painting from my sweet friend Johnna at Twila & Co. of my new home last year. It has been sitting as a staple in my house ever since then!!! Johnna does custom paintings of all kinds, and even turned this painting of my home into custom notecards!!!

#11: Over-the-Knee Boots

I had been looking for the perfect pair of over-the-knee boots for SO LONG and my mom finally stumbled upon these!!! I have them in Taupe, and they even fit my rather large calves 😉

#12: The Ultimate Cream Sweater

All of my friends make fun of me because I own at least 10 cream sweaters. Not joking. They are my FAVORITE thing to wear in the fall and winter! I found a brand new one this year from Red Dress Boutique (that I pair with the boots above!) and I pretty much never take it off!!! (I believe this exact one is currently sold out – but they have tons of similar options!)
