I don’t even know if I have the words to start this blog post. I just loved this wedding SO much for so many reasons!!! I had not met Colleen and Michael before this past weekend. But, they decided to honor their Catholic upbringing and local Maryland family by having a special Catholic ceremony on Thursday evening (before the full wedding day on Saturday) – and they asked me to be a part of it! So, I DID get to meet them before the wedding on Saturday…and it was so special. They are both truly just the epitome of selflessness and joy. Even at the small ceremony Thursday night, Michael cried watching his bride walk down the aisle – and it was so clear how much all of the family in attendance love this couple. We got a handful of portraits on Thursday following the ceremony – then I went to stay in a hotel nearby until the full wedding day two days later!!!

After meeting Colleen and Michael on Thursday, I knew Saturday was going to be good. I even said to my second shooter as we were driving “I don’t know why, I just have a feeling today is going to be a really good and a really BEAUTIFUL day”. That gut feeling couldn’t have been more spot on!!! We arrived to a bridal suite full of the most GORGEOUS flowers, 10 (!!!) bridesmaids, stunning details and a glowing bride. It was the perfect day from the very beginning! Plus, I’m pretty sure Colleen and I are soul sisters…since I basically want all of my decor and details to be just like hers!!! Hahaha!!

It was such an honor and a privilege to be a part of this day. From the couple to the guests to the details to the weather and the vendor team…it was an absolute dream from start to finish. I have an embarrassing number of favorites to share, so I’ll cut the talking here!!

Colleen and Michael: thank you for inviting me into such a sweet and special season of your lives. I am so grateful. I hope you enjoy some of my favorites as much as I do!!!
