October is always a crazy wedding season for photographers, and it always leaves me feeling so grateful! I have a wedding every single weekend this month, and that means LOTS of traveling and shooting…but also getting to spend time with clients that I LOVE. From the very beginning of the planning process, I knew that Amanda and Mark were having a unique wedding day…but I didn’t realize just HOW amazing it would be until last weekend! They opted to have an intimate Sunday wedding in Washington D.C. with a few dozen of their favorite people. They rented out the adorable Big Bear Cafe in the city and hosted their guests for a beautiful ceremony and delicious dinner. It was so perfectly fitted to Amanda and Mark as a couple, and such a beautiful way to love on their family and friends!
We started the morning at a beautiful bed and breakfast with the most relaxed, laid back timeline. No one was rushed or stressed or frantically trying to get ready. I got to style details while the girls ate lunch and it was WONDERFUL! Then we headed over to Big Bear Cafe and had HOURS of time for portraits before guests even began to arrive…which is any photographer’s dream! The whole day was unique and wonderful in so many ways. I mentioned it on Instagram stories, but I am not someone who typically shoots in the city…so this was SUCH a fun challenge for me!!! I can’t wait for you to see the magic we were able to create!
Amanda and Mark: thank you so much for trusting me with these precious memories! I absolutely loved spending your wedding day with you and hope you enjoy some of my favorites!!!
