What an AMAZING way to end my 2019 wedding season!!! I typically don’t have December weddings…but I LOVE when I do because it gives me something to look forward to during what is normally a very slow month of shooting!! Amanda and Jake actually booked me for their wedding day over 3 years ago. But, LIFE kept happening and requiring them to push their wedding date back and back and back. Finally, at the beginning of this year, they were able to lock down a date. Needless to say, everyone was SO EXCITED for this day to come! They have been waiting so long and were SO deserving of the most wonderful wedding day. I met Amanda back in 2016 at one of my first in-person workshops. She is a photographer herself and has the sweetest heart and Jake is the perfect partner for her. There were SO many reasons I was waiting for this day…and it didn’t disappoint!

I traveled back to Virginia to photograph this day and the weather was PERFECT for Virginia in December. It was chilly, but the sun was shining and the light was BEAUTIFUL. The energy from the very beginning of the day was so contagiously joyful. The bridesmaids, family and every single guest were just bubbly with anticipation for Jake and Amanda to FINALLY be husband and wife. It was wonderful in every single way!!! I truly felt so lucky to witness it and capture the joy as it unfolded.

Amanda and Jake: Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for including me in your special day! It was a joy to witness and work with you both – and I couldn’t have asked for a better way to end out my year than with you two!
