I am so excited to start doing a Star Student’s blog post every month!! I LOVE my online course students, and this is going to be such a fun way for them to humbly brag about all the amazing things they are doing!! This month, I’ve got 3 students to tell you about: Jaden, Lindsey & Amanda. It’s my hope that you’ll be encouraged and inspired by all they are doing in their photography businesses!!

 

Before I took this course, I was struggling with… Posing and confidence with the seniors. From a mindset space I struggle with whether seniors actually care about spokesmodel teams and whether I’m relevant enough for 17-18 year old students.

Since completing the course, I have… I shot 70 seniors during the summer of 2021…70!!! I went to my first few sessions with prompts from watching Hope’s videos in my pocket, on the back of my camera, in my camera bag, on my palm and because it’s shown so well in all of the courses I’ve taken I quickly adapted a routine that helped me feel confident and helped the students trust that I knew what I was doing. I can see the confidence in me and in themselves in their eyes when I edit!!

I was interested in this course specifically because… Posing mostly but also how to structure a senior team

If someone asked me about this course, I would tell them… I saw return in investment during my first session after taking the senior business course. The girl I photographed and her mom were so complementary on how comfortable she felt with me guiding her through posing!

If I had to list my 3 biggest tangible WINS since completing the course, they would be… Increased booking!! Better images, the seniors look more confident (I can see it in their eyes), and I’m more confident walking into sessions!

Before I took this course… I struggled to figure out how to run a spokesmodel team that was good for the team members, but also profitable for me (profitable monetarily AND in exposure to new clients).

Since completing the course… I am super confident in how to run a team that is mutually beneficial to me AND each team member. My applications have increased year to year. There is always a lot of buzz surrounding my team and applications for the team. I gain new senior clients each year because of the content I have to post regularly. And, there are girls I’ve met who are in 8th and 9th grade who already tell me they want me to be on my team or want me to shoot their senior images.

I was interested in this course specifically because… I needed to get a stronger foothold in the senior industry in my area, but I had no clue how to run an efficient spokesmodel program.

If someone asked me about this course, I would tell them… I would (and have in the past) tell them that hands down it was one of the best business purchases I ever made. It was a definite game changer, because Hope didn’t just tell us what a profitable team looked like, she gave us ACTIONABLE steps to create one. And she has provided support ever since for anyone with extra questions. I can’t recommend it enough – along with the Senior Biz Course!

Before I took this course, I was struggling with… definitely posing! And trying to find good spots in the options I have to work with.

Since completing the course, I have… so much more confidence in how the images are going to look. I now have a better posing workflow, and knowing I can get a few good options from one pose is great!

I was interested in this course specifically because… I knew I loved seniors, and I want to try and niche down in this area, and I wanted to learn from the best!

If someone asked me about this course, I would tell them… Even if you don’t want to niche down in seniors, if you offer senior sessions, this course will help you out so much if you want to up your game! I couldn’t recommend Hope enough!

If I had to list my 3 biggest tangible WINS since completing the course, they would be… I have had more inquirers for my session sessions, way better images for my website, and just so much more confidence that I can create beautiful images for these seniors to last a lifetime!
