This summer senior session in downtown Charleston was an extra special one. I’ve known Victoria for quite awhile…I met her YEARS ago and have watched her grow up! When her mom reached out to me about them wanting to travel to Charleston from Maryland for her senior portraits, I was SO excited! We planned this shoot for months and months, but actually had a stressful few days leading up to the session. We had TERRIBLE storms all week long in both Savannah and Charleston…and there was an 80% of severe storms (with hail and tornadoes) on the day of Victoria’s portraits. We kept refreshing our Weather apps and waiting for it to change…and IT FINALLY DID! The storms got pushed later into the evening, so we scrambled to begin our shoot a few hours early at the last second. It worked out PERFECTLY! We had glowing sunlight the entire shoot…not even a drop of rain! WOOHOO!

Victoria’s shoot was special because SHE is special to me…but it was also just drop-dead gorgeous!!! We worked with Sweet Jessamine’s Flower Truck AND The Pink Figgy to create some epic, fun photos throughout downtown. Victoria got her hair and makeup done by the fabulous Silhouette on Site (and everyone was SO flexible when we had to move around the storms!) We adventured around Rainbow Row, Tradd Street, Mills House and the Battery to create some stunning images for her. There are so many new favorites!
